La Roche-Posay, the French pharmacy-only dermatological brand, is now available in the UK, for the first time since its launch in 1928.
Speaking at the press launch, the MD of La Roche-Posay, Laurence Pardieu Duthil, said the “time was right” to enter the UK market, adding that La Roche-Posay is “the dermatologist’s brand of choice for the skin”, adding that the extensive product range can help relieve many skin care conditions from eczema to acne and also helps protect the skin from sun damage.
The products utilise the thermal spa water found in the town of La Roche-Posay in France and this water’s high concentration of selenium acts as a key ingredient – providing antioxidant, soothing and softening benefits for the skin. The range is also said to be excellent at soothing very sensitive skin and that which cannot tolerate chemical or fragranced products.
Pardieu Duthil added: “The efficacy of La Roche-Posay products, including the hero ranges Anthelios and Toleraine, are backed up 21 clinical studies which prove that they do what they say they will do. We believe this is a unique skin care range and look forward to UK customers enjoying the benefits for the very first time.”
