Chemicals distributor Univar has announced plans to open a new setup in Europe.

Univar France is to launch a €16m project at the company’s Genay site in Lyon, France. The objective, according to Univar, is to make the existing site in Genay the central hub of all industrial business sites in the region.

The company has also furthered its global presence by opening a new branch in Eastern Europe. The branch is part of Univar subsidiary Univar Czech s.r.o and is located in Bratislava, Slovakia.
