Vichy extends Dermablend line-up

Adds cream foundation and body foundation to its \'extreme coverage\' make-up brand

L'Oréal owned Vichy Laboratories has boosted its Dermablend range of facial make-up, designed to provide “extreme coverage”. Established in 1981 by US dermatologist Dr N Craig Roberts and part of Vichy since 2003, Dermablend is extending its image beyond corrective make-up with new look black lacquered cases “that women would be proud to incorporate into their make-up routine”, according to Vichy.

New to the range are Corrective Compact Cream Foundation 12hr (£22.50 for 9.5g) and Total Body Corrective Foundation 16hr (£29.75 for 100ml). The cream foundation is designed for those seeking to conceal minor to severe skin concerns including redness, dark circles, rosacea, vitiligo and scarring. Waxes within the formula are said to provide a 3D network allowing for a flexible texture, while light diffusing pearls provide a radiant finish. The SPF30 foundation is available in five shades in the UK and is hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and non-comodogenic.

The buildable body foundation, meanwhile, can be used to cover scars, tattoos, stretch marks and varicose veins. Available in three shades, it is SPF15 (as people with irregular pigmentation can be sun sensitive), water-, sweat- and rub-resistant, and is enriched with glycerin to hydrate the skin. The light oil complex means the foundation is easy to apply and dries to a soft, non-greasy finish.

Dermablend has also revamped its stick concealer product – the new Corrective Stick (£15 for 4.5g) has the same coverage as the previous Cream Stick, but boasts a targeted applicator, which is even easier to apply.

The new products launch at the end of April in selected pharmacies, including larger Boots stores.
