Wacker present new silicones at SEPAWA

Published: 9-Nov-2006

At the 53rd SEPAWA Congress in Würzburg, Germany, Wacker presented alkyl-modified silicone waxes for the formulation of shampoos and conditioners.

Lab tests show that these silicone wax gels, including Wacker-Belsil CDM 3526 VP and high-melting Wacker-Belsil CM 7026 VP, significantly enhance the compatibility of both wet and dry hair. Plus silicone waxes lend hair more volume and a softer feel. Wacker says that the products can also be used to enhance the properties of sunscreen creams, lipsticks, foundation and mascara. An example of this is silicone wax gel CDM 3526 VP, which boosts the spreading of oil constituents in skin care products.
