Classic English brand Yardley, which dates back to 1770, is getting a younger, more contemporary makeover in the form of Lavender Spa, a spa inspired bath and body range. There are currently four products in the lineup: edt, body spray, shower crème and body lotion.
These are said to combine the therapeutic benefits of lavender with healing aloe vera. In addition to lavender, the scent running throughout the range features top notes of mandarin, bergamot and pear with a floral heart of orange blossom, rose, lily and jasmine and a base of amber, sandalwood, musk, tonka bean and precious woods. Owner Lornamead says this shows how the brand can adapt its heritage to current consumer trends and our changing lifestyles. “Lavender Spa provides Yardley with the opportunity to build on its existing strong presence within the gifting market and move into selfpurchase as a daily treat,” says Helen Cooper, marketing director, Lornamead UK Ltd.
