Yves Saint Laurent Parfumes has unveiled an Aladdin’s cave-worth of new colour cosmetics for autumn/winter. Ombres 5 Lumières comes in six shade concepts and each compact comprises four colours in dark, iridescent and satiny shades, and a highlighter to give the illusion of depth.

Also for eyes is YSL’s Palette Collection, a smoky trio of shadows in black, grey and champagne white. Its sister product contains face powder, blush and highlighter.

Packaged in a similar fashion to its Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation, Top Secrets Flash Radiance Skincare Brush conceals small imperfections and enhances the embellishing effects of make-up. Ingredients include caffeine for stimulation and micro-pigments to diffuse light.

YSL’s fourth new product is Rouge Volupté. The cream texture lipstick becomes fluid on contact with lips due to a complex of waxes and plant triglycerides, while a light-reflecting polymer adds shine and crystalline ester coated pigments give magnified colour.
