Alcan Packaging Beauty has launched a new post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic tube with a sleeve made from up to 60% recycled material. The new environmentally friendly tube has a multi-layer structure which Alcan says will guarantee compatibility with bulks, as the outer layer is made from PCR materials derived from milk bottles, while the inner layer is manufactured from virgin material. The PCR plastic tube is said to be compatible with a number of diameters, heads and caps and can be customised with Alcan’s printing techniques.
