Sales from the brand’s new Wildlife collection will fund projects to protect tigers and snow leopards across Africa and Asia

Colour cosmetics brand Barry M has entered a philanthropic partnership with David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF) to help protect endangered animals.

As part of the collaboration, Barry M has released its new Wildlife collection of eyeshadow palettes, which will donate 20% of all profits to DSWF’s protection initiatives.

Available in Tiger and Snow Leopard, the palettes contain nine shades inspired by big cats, including Ferocious, a bright orange colour and Frost, a deep blue.

Currently, DSWF supports tiger conservation in Russia, Thailand and India through educational programmes and anti-poaching teams.

Meanwhile, its work in Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan supports protection and habitat expansion for snow leopards, but also alternative livelihoods for rural herders and communities living close to their territories.

Beauty brands are no stranger to philanthropic partnerships in order to help protect endangered species.

A number of luxury beauty brand Chantecaille’s products, including its hero Philanthropy Cheek Shades, fund protection plans for endangered animals including pangolins, elephants and wild horses.

It has also worked on initiatives to protect gorillas, wolves, polar bears and coral reefs.

Meanwhile, Burt’s Bees offers customers the chance to adopt a beehive to develop sustainable projects and conducts research to protect honey bees.

Last year, Prai Beauty teamed up with the Wild at Foundation to support stray dogs in Puerto Rico.
