Beyoncé’s Cécred lands in UK through Space NK partnership

Singer Beyoncé’s hair care brand marks its first international retail expansion as Cécred launches in Space NK stores across the UK and Ireland

Beyoncé’s Cécred has marked its first international retail expansion as the hair care brand enters Space NK stores across the UK and Ireland.

Cécred, founded by the ‘Drunk in Love’ singer alongside her mother, Vice Chairwoman Tina Knowles, who previously worked as a hair stylist, is now available to purchase both online and in all 90 Space NK stores.

The expansion sees the brand double down on the UK consumer, with the region currently the brand’s second largest market outside of the US.

Cécred first entered into a retail partnership stateside with Ulta Beauty last year.

“Expanding into the UK, our second-largest market following the US, is a powerful testament to the connection we have built with the community and the growing opportunity for high-performance, transformative hair care here,” said Grace Ray, CEO at Cécred.

“Partnering with Space NK, a retailer that shares our vision for innovation and shifting the narrative in hair care, allows us to bring Cécred to new and existing customers in a best-in-class retail environment, marking a milestone moment as we take this next step in our global growth.”

Knowles added: “Throughout my career as a stylist, salon owner, and traveling on global tours, I have seen first-hand how important it is to have products that are tested and deliver results for all hair types and textures, no matter where you are in the world.

“Inclusivity and accessibility are at the heart of our brand and we are so happy to bring this approach to the UK with Space NK, introducing even more people to the rituals and innovations that make Cécred so exceptional.”

Alongside the brand’s Foundation, Protection, Restoring and Styling collections, Cécred’s latest launch, Temple Oud Hair Perfume, will also be available to shop in Space NK.

“Launching Cécred exclusively at Space NK emphasises our commitment to bring the world’s most in demand brands and icons of the future to UK customers,” said Emma Simpson-Scott, CEO of Space NK.

“We are excited to partner with Cécred for their much-anticipated launch, bringing the 'brand formulated for everyone' to our stores across the country and spacenk.com.

“We know our customers will be delighted to test, try and buy the brand and discovertheir own Cécred routine.”

Cécred will also continue to build on its philanthropic efforts in the UK, partnering with BeyGOOD, Beyoncé’s charity foundation, to support the Athena Aesthetics & Beauty Academy in Birmingham.

The partnership, which falls under the Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund, will supply funding for student fees, professional tools, learning resources and enrichment opportunities.
