Space NK has named Emma Simpson-Scott (pictured) CEO, succeeding Andy Lightfoot, who has been at the helm for the past ten years.
Simpson-Scott, who has served as the UK beauty retail chain’s CMO for the past seven-and-a-half years, will take on the role from 13 September.
She brings more than 20 years experience across luxury retail, brand marketing and customer experience, with a record of driving sustainable growth and strengthening brand partnerships.
"Emma is a highly respected retail leader who brings deep customer insight, retail expertise and a passion for building exceptional teams," said Kecia Steelman, President and CEO of Ulta Beauty, which owns Space NK.
"I am delighted to congratulate Emma on her appointment to CEO and look forward to our continued work together as she leads Space NK into the next chapter of growth."

It has not been revealed why Lightfoot is stepping down.
However, the Space NK company statement thanked him for leading the business through a period of “significant growth and transformation”.
Steelman added: “We wish Andy all the best in his next chapter and gratitude for his ten years of service, and all that he has done for Space NK, including joining forces with Ulta Beauty.
“Under his leadership, Space NK has achieved significant growth, strengthened its position as a market-leading beauty retailer, and successfully transitioned into the Ulta Beauty family.
“His legacy will be felt for many years to come.”

Simpson-Scott is a Space NK veteran, having worked for the company for more than ten years in total, and said it is an “honour” to be appointed CEO.
“I have seen first-hand the passion, expertise and entrepreneurial spirit of our teams, which has been instrumental in evolving Space NK into the business it is today,” she said.
“As we look to the future, I am excited by the opportunities ahead.

Space NK has announced other key appointments across its senior leadership team.
Hannah Quy joins this month as CFO, overseeing Finance, Property and Distribution, while Tiff Ruis joins Space NK from Ulta Beauty as Senior VPr of Retail & Ecommerce.
“These appointments reinforce Space NK's commitment to accelerating growth, investing in its people and maintaining its position as the leading curator of luxury beauty in the UK&I,” read a company statement.
