Charlotte Tilbury, the eponymous make-up brand founder, has been named in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026 list for services to the beauty and cosmetics industry, among others.
Tilbury, who founded Puig-owned Charlotte Tilbury Beauty in 2013, has been awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), recognising her contribution to “leading and building Britain’s most successful global beauty brand”.
Tilbury’s brand was cited as “driving [the] economic growth of the UK beauty sector, which has expanded from approximately £17bn in 2013 to more than £31bn today”, according to data from the British Beauty Council.

“I am deeply honoured to receive a CBE in the King’s Birthday Honours,” said Tilbury.
“Just over a decade ago, I had a vision to build the biggest British beauty brand and take it to the world, empowering everyone, everywhere, to feel confident and unlock their potential.
“Today, Charlotte Tilbury is a multibillion-pound British business, and I am proud that it has helped establish our beauty industry as one of the UK’s most dynamic and influential business sectors.”
Tilbury, who was previously awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2018, was recently appointed Global Ambassador for UK youth charity The King’s Trust.
Tilbury added: “I would like to thank my incredible dream team.
“This moment belongs to them and our wonderful community, the extraordinary artists, creators and partners I have brought together, and the millions of customers around the world who are part of the Charlotte Tilbury story.
“I am more driven than ever to keep pushing boundaries and shaping the future of beauty."
Beauty Bank co-founders Sali Hughes and Jo Jones awarded an MBE

Beauty Banks
Sali Hughes, a beauty journalist and broadcaster, and beauty PR consultant Jo Jones, have both been awarded MBEs for services to the Alleviation of Hygiene Poverty.
This was through the pair's work as co-founders of Beauty Banks, a registered UK charity that supplies essential personal care and hygiene products to individuals living in severe need.
Beauty Banks, which is headquartered in Brighton, UK, was founded in 2017 and operates distribution hubs across the UK.
Members of the public can donate hygiene products at designated bins within UK beauty retail chain Superdrug.
Hughes took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the MBE award: “I went to Downing Street today to appear at a Cabinet Office press conference announcing that I have been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List 2026.
“It was a huge shock and six weeks after receiving my letter, I still cannot quite believe it.
“The only thing that could make it even better? My beloved and brilliant Jo Jones (MBE) was awarded one too, and today – as has so often been the case – we were right by one another’s side.”
Hughes added in the Instagram post: “We are delighted that our charity work has been acknowledged and celebrated like this.
“Running a charity is a thankless slog most of the time.
“It has never been harder to raise funds, engage the public, mobilise industry and establish new partnerships.
“The need for support for those living in poverty is critical but unfashionable.
“And yet the perseverance has been so worth it – Beauty Banks has been the most rewarding experience of my career.”
