Charlotte Tilbury has been honoured with a Special Recognition Award at the 2023 Fashion Awards in London.
The make-up artist and beauty entrepreneur was presented with the accolade by close friend Amal Clooney, the barrister and human rights activist.
Clooney thanked Tilbury for her support for the Clooney Foundation For Justice, adding: “She is all heart and an inspiration to us all.”
Tilbury has worked on over 180 magazine covers and over 600 editorial and advertising campaigns throughout her career.
She has also created runway looks for more than 100 designers.
“Over the past 30 years I have been lucky enough to have worked with the most extraordinary and talented photographers, designers, editors, stylists, celebrities and models and live out my dreams as a make-up artist,” commented Tilbury.
“I owe this award to each and every one of them and I am so grateful for their support throughout my career.”
She added: “I truly believe fashion and beauty are soulmates. They complete each other. They allow us the freedom to experiment, have fun and be whoever we want to be.
“I have seen how make-up has the power to change our energy.
“To give us the confidence to live a life without limits and to pursue our biggest and boldest dreams.”
Charlotte Tilbury ambassadors Jourdan Dunn and Kate Moss were also in attendance, with Moss stating: “Charlotte and I have worked together for over 30 years, since the start of both of our careers… I immediately felt her energy and passion for make-up and the power it has to boost confidence.”
It was recently revealed that Charlotte Tilbury’s Lucky Chest of Beauty Secrets advent calendar is the most searched-for beauty calendar of 2023.
The calendar racked up 40,500 monthly Google searches between August and October 2023, according to data from beauty analytics company Foundation.
The beauty brand has also teamed up with Elton John for its festive campaign and make-up collection, inspired by the ‘Rocketman’ singer’s signature style.
The 2023 Fashion Awards took place on 4 December at the UK capital’s Royal Albert Hall venue.
