CPL Aromas Hit the Top Note with South Korean Pop Band KARA
Award winning South Korean pop band KARA collaborate with CPL Aromas on their signature fragrance
KARA, the multi-award winning South Korean pop band, and their exclusive fragrance partner, 3CY, have collaborated with CPL Aromas to formulate their first signature fragrance, KARA 5 JEWEL (“K5J”).
The fragrance, created by CPL Aromas Perfumer Dominique Preyssas, was handpicked by the band on a visit to Paris in 2011.
KARA, who have sold more than 1.18 million albums in Japan and are one of the most influential pop groups and fashion icons in the Far East, wanted their fans to ‘catch a whiff of the glittering sunshine and happiness of Paris’ which inspired Dominique to create the final scent.
K5J leads with a sweet top note of mandarin, raspberry, apple and plum enhanced with tropical passionfruit. At the heart, a floral bouquet marries the fruity & white flowers of osmanthus, jasmin and ylang with rose and geranium accords which nestle upon a base of creamy sandalwood, vanilla and precious musk.
K5J will debut exclusively at selected retail stores and outlets from 14 April 2012 in Japan with distribution to follow in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea, Macau, Malaysia and Thailand scheduled over the summer of 2012.
