Diptyque’s Classic Candle becomes refillable for the first time in 63-year history

Dipytque is embracing the refill revolution by making its Classic Candle range refillable for the first time to meet evolving consumer needs.

The luxury Parisian fragrance brand’s Classic Candle has undergone a three-year development process to create a refillable wax insert – the first time the collection has been reworked since Diptyque’s launch in 1963.

The move is to meet consumer demand for more sustainable candle offerings that have extended life, as well as building on the success of Diptyque’s first candle refill offering in 2023 for its Les Mondes de Diptyque collection.

Dipytque’s full suite of refillable classic candle inserts will launch in the autumn of 2026, while the brand’s new refillable glass vessels are launching on 14 April.

“For our classic and iconic candles, the upcoming refills are in line with our continued efforts to extend the life of our products and collections,” Amanda Morgan, Managing Director of Diptyque UK & Ireland, told Cosmetics Business.
