EU ministers approve fatty alcohol dumping duty

India, Indonesia and Malaysia affected


The EU Council of Ministers has imposed definitive anti-dumping duties on imports into the EU of certain fatty alcohols and their blends, used as cosmetics ingredients, made in India, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Indian companies will be charged €86.99 per tonne (bar VVF Ltd’s €46.98). Indonesian companies will pay €80.34/tonne (bar PT Musim Mas’ €45.63). And Malaysian companies will pay €61.01/tonne, with lower tariffs for KL-Kepong Oleomas, Emery Oleochemicals and Fatty Chemical Malaysia.
