Premium aromatherapy based skin care brand Decléor celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014, a year in which it also returned to its French roots with its acquisition by L’Oréal. UK Managing Director Carolyn Taylor talks to Cosmetic News Weekly about the brand’s approach to aromatherapy and the world of beauty..

How do you choose the ingredients?

Essential oils are at the heart of everything we do, so their purity and quality is vital – we only use the very best active ingredients from premium quality producers. We won’t launch a product that doesn’t meet our ‘triple guarantee of excellence’ to certify its origin and quality, hi-tech distillation and purity. We often say that selecting the best essential oils is a science and blending them is an art. We are lucky enough to have a team of highly experienced, expert scientists and aromatherapists working to select and blend the best ingredients using Decléor’s 40 years of research.
