Jo Malone London has added a new collection of fragrances to its line-up of scents.

The new Poppy & Barley range is blended with its namesake ingredients and topped with notes of rose, violet and blackcurrant.

The brand also recommends mixing the scent with other Jo Malone London fragrances, including its Honeysuckle & Davana, Wood Sage & Sea Salt and Myrrh & Tonka scents.

Celine Roux, the brand’s Global Head of Fragrance said: “Poppies seem so quintessentially British, and to me this fragrance represents a living landscape where poppies add dashes of colour to golden grains.”

Meanwhile, perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui said it was an “exciting creative challenge” for her to create the fragrance.

“Poppy & Barley has an element of unexpected and unusual - a contrast between the vibrant poppies and nourishing grains, rounded by hints of violet and fig.”

The new scent will be available from September in a cologne and body and hand wash (from £32).
