"It is a tremendous privilege to return to the Canadian ecosystem,” said Fortier-Cyr.
“The foundations are remarkably solid, and our teams demonstrate exemplary agility, forward-looking vision, and a desire to progress every day.
“I am thrilled to join this collective energy to combine business rigour, innovation, and human connection, and to continue driving our brands ever higher."
Fortier-Cyr has more than 20 years’ experience with L'Oréal, starting her career in 2007 in Paris, France, at skin care and dermo-cosmetics brand Vichy Laboratories, before holding key management roles in New York, Paris, and London.
She returned to Canada in 2013 as Vichy Brand Director, where she led all pillars of L'Oréal Paris from 2014 to 2018.
In late 2018, she took the helm of Lancôme Canada and, over the past three years, served as GM of L'Oréal Paris UK & Ireland.
Bérubé added: "It is a great pleasure to welcome Amélie back to the L'Oréal Canada team as Chief Digital & Marketing Officer.
"With her exceptional track record within the group, spanning Paris, the UK, and the United States, coupled with her strong Canadian roots, Amélie brings a truly global vision and recognised expertise in media innovation and digital transformation.
“Her inspiring leadership makes her the ideal person to write this next chapter alongside our teams."
