L'Oréal has appointed Lucia Dumas to Executive Vice President of Communication and Public Affairs.
From January 2018, Dumas will join the L’Oréal’s Executive Committee and takeover the role from Isabel Marey-Semper.
Marey-Semper spent eight years with the group, but has decided to pursue a career outside of L’Oréal.
Meanwhile, Dumas joins the cosmetics brand owner from prescriptive lense company Essilor, where she spent five years as VP of Communication.
She has been attributed to creating Essilor’s brand identity and raising the company’s profile.
Prior to Essilor, she held the same responsibilities within the Rhodia Group for five years and in particular, accompanied the implementation of the merger with Solvay, after having been in charge of press relations.
L'Oréal said: “The diversity and richness of Lucia's expertise, combined with her knowledge of industrial sectors where innovation and technology play a key role, are all assets in continuing to increase L'Oréal's reputation vis-à-vis all of its stakeholders and to spread its image throughout the world.”
