Lubrizol Pledges $1m to Cleveland Orchestra

Funds to support education and community programmes


The Lubrizol Corporation has made a pledge in of $1m to The Cleveland Orchestra's Sound for the Centennial campaign. These funds, payable over three years, are designated toward orchestra education and community programmes. Payments will begin during first quarter 2012.

James L Hambrick, Lubrizol chairman, president and ceo, remarked: "We are honoured to be in a position to support the Orchestra in such a significant way as they approach their centennial. Beginning with Lubrizol's founders, the company has maintained a commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates and what better way to continue this tradition than with ensuring the future of the orchestra, a true regional gem. We extend our best wishes for their continued success."
