Staff at Lush’s flagship store in Glasgow, Scotland, are at risk of redundancy.

The British beauty retail chain confirmed the news to Cosmetics Business in an email, citing store size and the current economic climate among the reasons behind the decision.

The Lush spokesperson told Cosmetics Business: “We are very proud of our Glasgow shop, which is one of our few anchor shops, and a jewel in the crown of our worldwide business.

“We want our shop to be an asset to Glasgow, however, a shop of this size needs time to adjust precisely to meet local needs, whilst still trading a profit.
