Sederma has added Matrixyl synthe’6 to its Matrixyl family.
While Matrixyl 3000 is a matrikine combination designed to recreate conditions conducive to cell and matrix turnover to reduce wrinkle depth and volume, Matrixyl synthe’6 has a matrikine–like effect which stimulates 6 major constituents of the skin matrix and the dermal–epidermal junction (DEJ), ensuring an optimal architecture of the tissue. This is said to fill in wrinkles from the inside, both on the forehead and on crow’s feet, resulting in visibly smoother and plumper skin.
Sederma says in vivo studies have demonstrated visibly smoothed forehead and crow’s feet wrinkles from the inside of the skin after two months. Many parameters demonstrated this smoothing effect (eg wrinkle volume, depth, surface) and more particularly the lifting effect and the wrinkle spread, adds the company.
