Just as the ‘natural’ trend has been steadily growing for years, brightening seems to be pushing the boundaries and is still a hot topic for formulators worldwide.
Brightening ingredients have different applications from one continent to another.
If intended to lighten the skin all over – for example in Asia – the products containing it will be applied to all of the body, including the underarms. In Europe, on the other hand, only age spots will be targeted very locally.
