New hair care brand Bouclème is a range of products specifically for curly hair types.
It was created by Founder Michele Scott-Lynch out of a desire for a product that delivered healthy, frizz-free curls using all natural ingredients. Created as an alternative to the sulphate and silicone based curl products that can strip away moisture and weigh down curls, Bouclème uses nourishing and penetrating ingredients to help hydrate and strengthen the hair cuticle from the inside.
In producing the range, Michele identified three main curl types: loose, medium and tight, to recognise the difficulties of managing curly hair on a daily basis as well as to acknowledge how each curly hair type is unique. Depending on the type of curl, there are specific products to offer styling solutions.
Containing high performance natural actives that restore moisture and life to dry, lacklustre hair, Bouclème’s 3-step system aims to give users shiny, frizz-free curls. The range will launch with four key products – Curl Cleanser, Curl Conditioner, Curl Defining Gel and Curl Towel. The complete 3-step system is also available as a travel set.
Curl Cleanser is a non-foaming curl cleansing cream that cleanses the scalp and hair without upsetting the natural moisture balance, as it contains no foaming detergents. Curl Conditioner is rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9, vitamin E and antioxidants to strengthen the hair and protect it from environmental aggressors. It uses virgin coconut, argan oil and aloe vera leaf actives to replenish much-needed moisture. Curl Defining Gel smoothes and defines curls without flaking or adding stickiness, for all day frizz control and curl definition. Lastly, the Curl Towel is a soft jersey towel made from 46% organic cotton, 46% bamboo and 8% elasthene, to absorb only excess water so curls retain maximum hydration.
The products are free from sulphates, silicones and parabens, and use an eco-certified preservative. They are tested on curly human hair.
