The beauty industry once again proved that you get out what you put in, reaping the rewards of judicious investment in innovation, as the 2020 Brand Finance Cosmetics 50 demonstrates.
In terms of brand strength – a key contributing metric to brand value – cosmetics brands showed their mettle.
“Compared with other sectors, it [beauty] is a strong sector, because companies overall still invest lots of money into R&D,” Hui Crystal Hu, Senior Analyst at Brand Finance, tells Cosmetics Business.
