Nail care market chips away at colour sales


Nail art trend takes a back seat

After huge growth over the past couple of years, it seems the US nail colour category has stalled, according to Mintel.

Mintel’s Nail Colour and Care US 2015 report revealed there is a declining interest in such products in women aged 18-24, who are experimenting less with trends and spending less time shopping for products compared with a year ago. Engagement remains high for those aged 25-34, who are increasingly interested in extra benefits such as long lasting, natural formulas.
