Goop, actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle and organic beauty brand, has raised $50m in new funding.

According to Forbes, the series C investment will allow the newsletter-turned-beauty and media company to expand into Europe by the end of the year.

Goop is also expected to develop its fragrance and skin care lines, as well as its overseas events.

The brand ventured into skin care in 2016. The initial collection included a Luminous Melting Cleanser ($90), Exfoliating Instant Facial ($125), Replenishing Night Cream ($140), Revitalizing Day Moisturizer ($100), Enriching Face Oil ($110) and Perfecting Eye Cream ($90).

In recent years the Oscar-winning actress has come under fire for promoting ‘pseudoscience’ and potentially harmful practices in the name of wellness.
