Which? surveyed more than 10,000 shops to determine which retailers made the grade to be named the best on the British high street
Fragrance retailer The Perfume Shop has beaten consumer goods giants to be named one of the top ten UK high street stores.
The A.S. Watson-owned chain was ranked number eight on the list, topping retail behemoth Boots and sister company Superdrug.
In an annual survey of over ten thousand shoppers, Which? asked consumers about their shopping experiences on the high street over the past six months.
Consumers were questioned about products, overall experience, satisfaction and likelihood to recommend the different shops.
Department stores Harvey Nichols and John Lewis were in the top five, while personal care retailer Bodycare was also in the top ten.
Cosmetics Business spoke to Gill Smith, Managing Director of The Perfume Shop to find out the secret to its bricks-and-mortar success.
