Klarna expands beauty signings with The Perfume Shop deal
The Perfume Shop will add the Snoop Dogg-invested firm’s buy now, pay later service to its website
Swedish bank Klarna, backed by American rapper Snoop Dogg, has bagged a deal with another beauty retailer offering its buy now, pay later scheme.
The global company’s service will be available for The Perfume Shop customers from this week.
Shoppers will be able to either pay for their beauty products within 30 days, with no spend threshold, or spread the cost of their payment across three equal interest-free instalments.
This option can be spread out over three months and will be available for purchases of more than £75.
“We’re constantly evolving the shopping experience for our customers and it’s great to be able to introduce Klarna as an option for those looking to spread the cost of their shopping,” said Cathy Newman, The Perfume Shop’s Marketing & Customer Experience Director.
While research has warned that buy now, pay later schemes are affecting shoppers’ credit scores, beauty brands have been quick to sign deals with the provider.
Last month, make-up giant Charlotte Tilbury added Klarna’s services to its site.
Klarna partners also include online retailers Feelunique and ASOS, as well as The Fragrance Shop and Beauty Bay.
