Superdrug has launched a competition to help aspiring make-up artists break into the beauty industry.

Led by the retailer's own brand cosmetics range Studio London, the Search for Studio Stars competition aims to discover the UK’s ten most creative amateur make-up artists.

It hopes to encourage new talent into the industry, break down misconceptions and barriers, and highlight the opportunities a career in cosmetics can bring.

“Studio London is all about being creative, diverse and inclusive, and we want to give back to the make-up artist community with the opportunity to be a part of the brand itself as a Studio Star,” Jamie Archer, Own Brand Director at Superdrug, told Cosmetics Business.

Has your retail team helped to boost British retail in the past 12 months? Then you could be in with a chance of winning at this year's Pure Beauty Awards. Enter here.
