P&G has sold off a second Latin American brand in as many weeks. This time baby brand Hipoglós faced the axe, as a deal was struck with Johnson & Johnson for an undisclosed amount.

Hipoglós manufactures creams and ointments designed especially to protect baby skin from nappy rash and irritations.

The brand has been active in Brazil for more than 70 years and is said to be “one of the most traditional brands among Brazilian mums”, according to a release from P&G.

Last week, P&G sold its Escudo soap brand in Latin America to Kimberly-Clark de México for an undisclosed sum.
