Germany's spa market has thrived thanks to the popularity of wellness holidays, growing 5% over the past five years
The German spa and wellness market has thrived over the past year, with wellness holidays in particular becoming more popular in 2015/2016, according to the Wellness Trends 2016 study.
Conducted by wellness holiday organiser Beauty24 and hotel association Wellness Hotels & Resorts, the study found that ten years ago wellness was still considered an occasional luxury, but today, however, wellness is a part of everyday life for many people.
