Entrepreneur Lara Morgan has made a sizeable investment in company

Skin care and spa brand Spiezia Organics has announced it is due to undergo a rebrand following a large-scale investment from entrepreneur Lara Morgan.

Spiezia Organics’ Managing Director Amanda Barlow told Cosmetics Business that Morgan, following the final sale of her shares in Pacific Direct for an undisclosed multi million pound sum, had made a "significant investment" in Spiezia Organics.

Morgan is the Founder and former CEO of Pacific Direct, a supplier of luxury toiletries and amenities to hotels, cruise lines and airlines. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the cosmetics industry, something that Barlow acknowledges: “It is fantastic to have Lara on board – her enthusiasm and determination will be very positive for the brand and the organic industry as a whole. Having owned and managed a major toiletries manufacturing business, making for some of the leading brands in the world, Lara has valuable insight into ingredients, chemicals and the lack of legislation around cosmetics and skin care. Together we will be able to make a very real difference.”

Meanwhile, Morgan added: “I am painfully aware of there being only one planet; Plan A is running far from smoothly and we have no Plan B. It is a joy to be involved with Spiezia Organics – a company very much concerned with the bigger picture and so utterly devoted to achieving premium product quality, and sourcing conscientious ingredients and sustainable packaging.
