Obama orders review of regulations affecting trade in personal care products

Order aims to reduce regulations that impede foreign trade


US President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order on May 10 mandating government agencies such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to identify and reduce any regulations that unnecessarily impede foreign trade in goods, including cosmetic and personal care products. This order will also require federal agencies to review US packaging rules.
