Free makeover app Perfect365 has ranked in the top ten entertainment apps of 2015, in a list published online by Colombian newspaper El Tiempo.
The US app, created by ArcSoft, came in seventh place, below non-beauty related apps including: Apple Music, Airnbnb, Giphy, Dubsmash, Happn and Netflix. It ranked above Twitch, Adobe Photoshop Mix and Google Play Music.
Perfect365 allows users to try on different make-up looks virtually, using facial recognition technology, before going on to buy the products they have e-tested.
The app was involved with several partnerships in 2015 including Nudestix and Sigma Beauty. For the holiday season, the app has joined forces with retailer Toys “R” Us to help sponsor meals for children in need. When users visit the ‘Chic’ section of the Hotstyle Looks tab, they will have the option to click the ‘<3 to <3’ makeover. When selected, they will then be able to click the ‘i’ button. Once this has been done, Toys “R” Us will sponsor a meal for a child.
