Benefit Cosmetics today unveiled its Crescent Row range of fragrances, complete with a sing-a-long presentation by the company’s founders, and twin sisters, Jean and Jane Ford.

Crescent Row is a trio of women’s fragrances – Laugh with me Lee Lee, Something about Sofia and My place or yours Gina – which are inspired by Jean’s own daughter’s, Annie and Maggie Ford Danielson. The girls prompted their mother and aunt to launch these scents in response to their own trip to the Royal Crescent in Bath last year.

Introducing their presentation via song, Jean and Jane Ford made a point of making this launch, like Benefit itself, something a bit different and unique.

Said Jean Ford: “When my daughters, who now both work for the business, came to us with this idea we simply couldn’t resist. The three girls the scents are named after represent the different character traits that women share – either they are funny, intriguing or sensual or all three, perhaps at different times and these three scents are designed to work in tandem with each other and can even be layered.”

Jane Ford added: “We hope people will really enjoy the way we have introduced them to Crescent Row and that they will really love them as much as we do. At 30ml they are small enough to fit into every woman’s handbag and they have an affordable price point of £29.50 each.”

The three Crescent Row scents, the packaging for which is modelled on a circa 1918 martini shaker, will be on sale in the UK from August onwards.
