Boots, the UK health and beauty retailer, is set to offer on-demand delivery up to midnight on Christmas Eve.
The last-minute late-night service will be available at select stores for the first time this year.
The expansion comes after the UK retailer experienced its busiest shopping day of the year for on-demand orders on Christmas Eve 2024.
Boots offers delivery in as little as 30 minutes on more than 10,000 products, including 1,600 gifts, via Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat.
Gifts available through on-demand delivery include Boots’ own-brand No7 Ultimate Collection, Kayali’s perfumes and Gucci Bamboo fragrance.
More than 700 gifts available through the platforms are priced at £10 and under.
“We all know Christmas is a busy time, so we want to make it even easier for our customers who find themselves shopping right up to the last moment,” said Paula Bobbett, Chief Data and Digital Officer at Boots.
“Boots on-demand can help change that final dash into an easy delivery.
“At Boots, we are here to make shopping feel joyful, not stressful, helping shoppers find thoughtful gifts quickly and easily, even if they have missed online order cut-offs or store opening hours.”
The last day for click and collect in Boots stores is 22 December, and the deadline for next day home delivery is 23 December.
New research by Boots reveals that more than half of people leave Christmas shopping until the last day before Christmas Day.
The high street chain ramped up its rapid delivery in September, extending availability to 500 stores.
Boots first launched an on-demand beauty and health delivery service on Deliveroo in 2021, offering consumers 400 products to be delivered in under 20 minutes.
The retailer then partnered with Just Eat in 2024, with more than 1,000 products stocked at the retailer available to be bought on the UK food delivery app.
Acne support, including Hero’s Mighty Patch Duo, and baby essentials, such as biodegradable wipes, are now among the bestselling items via Boots’ instant delivery.
