French colour cosmetics firm launches a 2-in-1 one-second nail polish remover for hands and feet

French colour cosmetics firm Bourjois has launched Dissolvant Mains & Pieds Miraculeux, a 2-in-1 one-second nail polish remover for hands and feet.

The product comes in a squat, violet-coloured plastic bottle designed for use on the move, with a lid that contains a built-in sponge, which obviates the need for a separate cotton-wool pad. To remove polish from the toenails, the user turns the bottle to ‘closed’, then applies the sponge to the toenails – an operation that Bourjois claims can be performed without damaging fingernail polish, thanks to the depth of the cap. Replacing the cap and sponge and turning the cap again re-impregnates the sponge with nail polish remover. To remove polish from the fingernails, the user plunges each finger directly into the bottle, where the impregnated sponge removes the polish instantly, according to Bourjois. Illustrations showing how to use the product are on the side of the bottle.

The nail polish remover formula contains almond oil to nourish the nails and cuticles, and is scented with red fruits and vanilla. Dissolvant Mains & Pieds costs €9.50 and is available in wide distribution, including from the firm’s website.
