New Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ promises to deliver even more hydration

Clinique has updated its classic yellow-hued moisturiser, which is now claimed to provide double the moisturisation without any extra oil. In a reformulation that has been more than six years in the making, Clinique’s new Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin and urea, which means the reformulated lotion offers double the moisturisation levels of the original, without any change in texture. It is also claimed to impart a 54% improvement in the skin’s barrier strength in eight weeks.

Explaining the need for the reformulation, Clinique’s Senior Vice President of Global Product Development, Janet Pardo, said: “The world has changed. Skin care technology has changed. And so we have changed.” Pardo added that relatively modern phenomena such as the stress of daily life, increased travelling, climate change and processed foods all have an effect on skin, and that Clinique felt a responsibility to reformulate the lotion to make it more suited to the demands of today's consumers while preserving the qualities which made the original so popular.
