MAC Cosmetics has launched its first liquid foundation in more than a decade – and it has a big skin care twist.

Studio Radiance Serum-Powered Foundation is a hybrid product that has taken five years in the making, combining a skin care serum and foundation in one to deliver ‘expensive-looking skin’.

It offers a 12-hour, water and transfer-proof medium-coverage finish which nourishes dry skin, increasing hydration levels by 209%, according to clinical trials. 

The foundation’s formula contains an 80% skin care base which features 33 hydrating ingredients, including olive and jojoba oils, vitamin E and a 10% hyaluronic acid solution.
