Consumers asked to submit selfies

Hair care brand Hairdo has launched a new campaign in a bid to find their next "It Girl".

The company is asking consumers to take selfies that capture the brand's fresh, fearless image and share them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #HairdoItGirl. Photos can also be submitted on the company's website.

The winner will receive a three-day trip to New York for a personalised make-over and photoshoot with celebrity stylist Kristina Barricelli. They will also win $1,000 to spend on a Manhattan shopping spree. Ten runners up will also receive $500 worth of products from the brand.

Entries are now open and will be accepted over the next five weeks. Voting for the top entry will begin on 17 November with the winner announced two days later.

Hairdo produces a range of clip-in hair extensions, ponytails and fringes made from heat-friendly synthetic fibres or 100% human hair. The collection is said to help consumers switch their styles easily and quickly without the commitment of a permanent change.
