Rachel Baker is stepping down from her role as VP and General Manager (GM) for Jo Malone London, as well as Le Labo, Kilian Paris and Frédéric Malle.

The beauty executive revealed the news on LinkedIn on 15 December, stating it has been a “deeply personal decision” to leave the Estée Lauder Companies (ELC)-owned artisanal fragrance portfolio.

Baker has worked at parent company ELC for the past 35 years and has served as VP GM for Jo Malone London UK&I since 2023.

During her tenure at ELC, Baker has also served as VP and GM for beauty brands Clinique, Dr. Jart+ and Lab Series.

“After 35 memorable years with ELC, I recently made the deeply personal decision to step away from my role as VP and GM for Jo Malone London, Le Labo, Kilian Paris and Frédéric Malle,” Baker posted on LinkedIn.

“I have been incredibly fortunate to spend my entire career with such an extraordinary company, working across many iconic brands – Clinique, Estée Lauder, Tom Ford Beauty, Dr. Jart+, Lab Series – and, most recently, Jo Malone London and the artisanal fragrance portfolio.

“My journey began as a Clinique consultant when I was a teenager, and over time evolved into various roles across the company portfolio, and over the past 13 years leading multiple brands as VP/GM.

“What started as a job became a lifelong journey, one that shaped who I am today.

“It has been far more than a career; it has been a true privilege.

“As I turn the page to this next chapter, I am choosing to focus on what matters most, my family, who have always been my biggest champions.

“I do so with a full heart, deep gratitude and immense pride in all that we have built together.

“Thank you to ELC for your support, and to everyone who has been part of this remarkable journey.”
