La Roche-Posay has named Chinese table tennis player Sun Yingsha its Brand Spokesperson and Global Partner.
Yingsha, who currently holds the world number one ranking in women's singles for the sport, will front the L’Oréal-owned skin care brand’s Serum & Mask offering.
She will also support the brand to promote “professional, safe and effective skin care solutions for consumers”.
“[Yingsha] has become a defining figure in her sport through her unwavering willpower and deep passion for the game,” read a statement from La Roche-Posay.
“Her outstanding achievements and charisma strongly resonate with sports fans and Gen Z consumers worldwide, making her a natural fit with La Roche-Posay's life-changing skin care spirit.”
Yingsha’s appointment as ambassador follows La Roche-Posay marking its 50-year anniversary with a mockumentary-style campaign.
The French skin care giant tapped ‘image architect’ Law Roach, known for styling actress Zendaya and singer Céline Dion, for the campaign, poking fun at “half a century of mispronunciation” of the brand’s name.
In other marketing efforts, La Roche-Posay released its first long-form documentary exploring the emotional and physical impact of scars last year.
The 25-minute film, titled Scars of Life and released on 10 October 2025, sought to open a conversation around the scars caused by acne, cancer and other skin conditions.
La Roche-Posay was also named the top clinical beauty brand in 2025 in terms of media value, according to software solutions firm Launchmetrics’ 2025 Beauty Industry Growth Playbook.
