L’Oréal is breaking into the nutricosmetics market with a new collagen supplement launched under its Vichy Laboratoires brand.

Vichy Laboratoires’ first-ever nutricosmetic offering – Liftactiv Collagen Supplements – is a daily dietary supplement for men and women said to help maintain overall health while supporting collagen synthesis.

The launch is described as a “major milestone” for the French dermocosmetics brand, extending its expertise beyond topical skin care to offer a clinically proven integrative take on beauty and health – bridging the gap between dermatology and nutrition.

“It is really about how our understanding of beauty has evolved,” Vincent Chauvière, Vichy Laboratoires Global Brand President, told Cosmetics Business.

“We have spent more than 90 years perfecting what you put on your skin and scalp, but we have reached a point where we know that topical creams are only part of the story.
