Male skin care brand GetMr rebrands as Modern Ritual

The rebrand comes as Modern Ritual prepares to launch a new at-home skin cancer screening solution

GetMr, a skin healthcare brand which focuses on male skin care, has rebranded its name to Modern Ritual.

Founders Dr Beth Goldstein and Elianna Goldstein said the brand will continue to develop products that simplify skin care for men and support skin health.

Dr Goldstein partnered with her daughter to launch the brand in 2020 after her husband was treated for skin cancer in 2018.

“After our family’s own run-in with skin cancer and my experience treating male patients, I saw that men were not wearing sunscreen regularly,” said Dr Goldstein.

“Sometimes they just didn’t realise how at risk for damage they truly were, or they didn’t like their current options.”

The brand said that only 17% of men wear sunscreen daily, despite the fact it can reduce the risk of skin cancer by nearly 40%.

“It was vital that we formulated a product that is both efficacious and safe,” she added.

Modern Ritual will launch a new at-home skin cancer screening solution this summer across several US states.
