The neighbouring retail spaces are a world apart in design
French fragrance and skin care brand Diptyque Paris has opened its first ever pop-up store in London’s Boxpark in Shoreditch.
The pop-up features a selection of the brand’s best-selling fragrances, candles, body and skin care products, including its three newest scents Eau Mage, Benjoin Bohème and Opene (£130 each), which are all packaged in blown glass bottles.
Hanging flowers adorn Diptyque's pop-up space
The space places emphasis on two paradoxical design influences, according to the brand, creating an industrial-meets-floral retail experience. The Diptyque Paris store features flowers hanging from the ceiling and products displayed on freestanding boxes, while the pop-up space itself is made from a stripped and refitted shipping container. Diptyque Paris’ pop-up will be open from Monday to Saturday 11am-7pm and Sundays 12pm-6pm.
The Boxpark location was founded by CEO Roger Wade and opened in 2011. It has become a popular choice for pop-up stores with fashion, lifestyle and beauty brands.
The Estée Lauder pop-up offers treatments on-site
Another beauty brand to recently set up shop in Boxpark is Estée Lauder, which opened its store on 4 September. The brand’s pop-up store will offer consumers three-minute beauty services performed by a team of beauty advisors. Among its product offering will be the new exclusive Kenall jenner Pure Colour Envy Lipstick, Restless. Another feature of the pop-up is a specially curated playlist by model, TV host and DJ Zara Martin. The Estée Lauder pop up is open until December during the same hours as Diptyque.
