The Miss Transgender UK pageant has come under fire from a trans health organisation, after the first prize winner was awarded gender affirmation surgery.

This year’s winner, 22-year-old Jai Latto from Scotland (pictured above centre), won the voucher for full gender correction surgery at the Transgender Surgery Institute, New Delhi, India, as well as travel and accommodation costs, totalling more than £10,000. She also took away a £5,000 cash prize and a modelling contract for Sensalle Lingerie.

Had an amazing experience. So happy to have shared it with you two @fay_louise_p @madamejocelyne
