Users can discover more about the new masculine fragrance, Phantom, by placing a smartphone near the robot's head

To house its new Phantom fragrance, Paco Rabanne has teamed up with plastic injection, assembly and moulding specialist VPI to develop the first refillable and connected fragrance… complete with a cap in the shape of a robot head.

The packaging for the new masculine fragrance, which comes in 100ml and 150ml versions, was born out of cooperation between Paco Rabanne owner Puig, VPI and STMicroelectronics.

The cap features an NFC microchip inside the three-piece robot head; by placing a smartphone near the head, users can ‘discover’ Phantom’s world, which includes games and playlists.

For eco-conscious perfume lovers, the 150ml bottle features a refillable system with a ‘sensorial’ screwing-unscrewing system.

VPI is the beauty division of France’s Faiveley Plast Group.
