Watsons launches beauty and toiletries 'takeaway service'

The A.S. Watson retailer is offering an order and fast delivery service in China

Watsons, the health and beauty retailer owned by A.S. Watson, has started selling and delivering cosmetics in the style of a food takeaway, IGD Retail Analysis has reported.

Using Chinese personal care, food and drink delivery service Waimai, run by Baidu, Watsons is now offering consumers in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou the opportunity to order cosmetics online and have them quickly delivered to an address of their choice. The company hopes the service will attract new business and create new revenue channels.
