Pure Beauty launches the inaugural annual Trend Edit

By Sarah Parsons | Published: 15-Dec-2023

Pure Beauty, a Cosmetics Business title, has launched the Trend Edit. A complimentary annual round-up of the trends that defined the year, Pure Beauty's Editor introduces the title

A handful of times each year the beauty industry would gather at trade shows and Fashion Weeks to determine which upcoming trends they should invest in. But that slower paced cycle has been thrown out the window, with viral trends increasingly difficult to keep up with. These flash in the pan social media trends can be a useful marketing tool for brand owners and retailers, but the pursuit of likes and shares can often distract from the larger movements at play.

Enter: the debut Pure Beauty Trend Edit. In our first edition we filter out the noise to guide you through the trends that dominated 2023 but will have a lasting impact on the year ahead. Our team of journalists have taken their more than 30 years combined experience analysing evidence-driven beauty trends, from youth subcultures to established worldwide movements, to shape this issue. In this report, we’re showcasing the biggest movements in skin care, make-up, sun care, hair care, wellness, professional beauty and marketing – and sharing our predictions for 2024. You’ll also find examples of these trends from industry giants and the coolest start-ups, and expert insight from our sponsors.

If you’re already a Pure Beauty subscriber, thank you for your continued support. But if you’re new to this publication, visit our digital home cosmeticsbusiness.com for more information. Last but not least, I’d love to have your feedback to help make our next issue even better. I’ll look forward to hearing from you.
